During the autumn term, students from Altrincham Grammar School for Girls enjoyed a variety of day trips, theatre visits and exciting excursions abroad.

October half term saw visits to Iceland, Rhineland, New York and Washington. Stephanie Gill, AGGS Principal, led the geography trip to Iceland, which was a huge success, even including an unexpected sighting of the Northern Lights. The history department led 43 students on an exciting visit to New York and Washington, fitting so much into their time. They saw the White House, Statue of Liberty, museums and even caught a show on Broadway!
The German trip to Rhineland was another fantastic success enjoyed by all. This included fascinating visits to Marksburg Castle and Cologne Cathedral, and a favourite amongst the museum visits was definitely the Lindt Chocolate Museum!
The trip ended with fun and thrills at Phantasialand. All students were fantastic ambassadors for the school on these visits and learned a great deal from their first-hand experience of so many interesting sites.
