Expressions of interest to become a governor at one of our academies

Thank you for your interest in the important role of governor at one of Bright Futures academies.

Bright Futures operate 11 academies in Trafford, Manchester and Blackpool.  We are proud to have a diverse group of seven primary schools. We have one 11-16 secondary school, one 11-18 selective grammar school, a specialist primary school and a 11-19 specialist school providing for the needs of young people with complex learning difficulties and disabilities.  More information about our academies can be found here: https://www.bright-futures.co.uk/our-academies/

The role of a governor is to support and challenge the running of the academy working with Principals and other leaders. In order to ensure that the academy is operating effectively in all respects. The membership of local governing bodies provides an opportunity for local stakeholders to be represented, e.g. parents/carers, staff and community leaders.

We are looking for governors who can make a positive difference in the lives of children, families, colleagues and communities in keeping with the Trust’s vision and values.
