I’m writing to submit a request under the Freedom of Information act.

In this regard, please provide answers to the questions below for each school in the academy trust that does not have a designated religious character.

• Does the school have a written policy regarding external groups and individuals who speak and deliver sessions at the school? If so, please provide a copy of this written policy.
• Does the school have a written policy regarding external groups and speakers with a religious ethos who visit the school? If so, please provide a copy of this written policy.
• Does the school keep records of sessions delivered by external groups and speakers?
• Does the school inform parents regarding sessions and visits by external groups and speakers?
• Please confirm any religious groups or speakers which have visited the school in the last 5 years.
• Does the school inform parents of any visits by external religious groups or individuals, so they can exercise their legal right to withdraw their children from these sessions?
• Have chaplaincy services been provided at the school in the last 5 years. If so, by what organisation?
• Please confirm whether any external group or speaker has delivered sessions in Personal Social Health Economic education (PSHE), Religious Education (RE), or Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) in the last 5 years. Please confirm the names of any such groups.
• Please confirm whether any visiting group or speaker has distributed a copy of the Bible, or other religious text at the school in the last 5 years. Please confirm the names of any such groups.
• Please confirm whether any visiting group or speaker has been invited to the school to deliver legally mandated collective worship. Please confirm the names of any such groups.

Please could you also confirm whether the academy trust itself has a religious ethos.
