Please provide the number of reported incidents related to extremist ideology in schools under your trust since 2022, broken down by type where available.

When referring to reported incidents, we refer to any incidents reported with within the school reported to any member of the pastoral team, SLT or management, as well as any incidents reported to external agencies.

For the purposes of this request, by “type” of incident I mean the category or description used by the Trust when recording the incident. This could include, but is not limited to, categories such as Islamist extremism, far-right extremism, antisemitism, anti-Muslim hatred, racist extremism, homophobic or transphobic extremism, online radicalisation, safeguarding or Prevent-related referrals, or any other relevant category used internally by the Trust.

If the Trust does not record incidents using these categories, please provide the information using the categories or descriptions held in your existing records.

For the preferred format, please provide the response by email. If possible, please provide any numerical data in a table, broken down by year and type of incident where held.

Please also provide presentations of the training provided to school staff on identifying and responding to Islamist extremism.

If you consider that complying with this request would exceed the appropriate cost limit under section 12 of the Act, please treat this request as refined to: the number of reported incidents related to extremist ideology in schools under your trust since 2023, broken down by type where available.
