Stanley Grove on tour!

Children at Stanley Grove have enjoyed some wonderfully enriching trips to various places during the autumn term.

In September, the term started with Year 6 experiencing an amazing two-night residential at Castlehead. A residential break is a great way for children to work on their team building skills, build their confidence away from home, as well as spend some quality time with their friends, and the wonderful staff who give up their free time to ensure children can access these exciting opportunities.

Reception children visited the local park as part of their themed work on seasonal change this term, and in October, they also celebrated ‘Children Around the World Day’. Year 1 visited their neighbours at Longsight Library.

Year 2 journeyed to Fletcher Moss and Steiner Woods as part of their work on microhabitats and different types of plants and animals. Year 3 visited Manchester Museum to learn all about animal and human skeletons as part of their science work. Year 4 headed out to the art gallery to embed their knowledge on Roman History and Year 5 visited Jodrell Bank as part of their work on Space!

Stanley Grove children LOVE learning outside of the classroom and accessing our many cultural assets.
