Bright Futures SCITT proudly celebrated the graduation of its 2025 trainee cohort on Friday 3 July, marking a significant milestone for 139 aspiring teachers who have completed their training across 30 local educational settings in the Early Years, Primary and Secondary sectors.
The special graduation ceremony took place at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls (AGGS) which is also part of Bright Futures, where trainees were presented with certificates and recognised for their achievements through a series of awards celebrating excellence, commitment and impact. The celebrations continued with a special lunch at Tre Ciccio, providing an opportunity for graduates, colleagues and partners to reflect on an incredible year of learning and growth.
Throughout their training, the graduates have demonstrated dedication, resilience and a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people. Having trained across a diverse network of schools and settings, they now join the profession equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to inspire the next generation.
Speaking after the event, the Bright Futures SCITT team shared:
“What an absolute honour it has been to play a part in the professional journey of our trainees. We are incredibly proud of every single one of them and all they have achieved throughout the year. Their commitment, enthusiasm and determination have been inspiring, and we know they have big bright futures ahead of them. Congratulations!”
Ned Bristow, English trainee said:
“I have thoroughly enjoyed the Bright Futures SCITT training programme, which balances a high level of challenge with high levels of support. Trainees are pushed to build independence and skills at a pace that suits them, in collaboration with course leads and mentors. The communication and sense of belonging is excellent. I feel well prepared to begin my teaching career as a result of the training and support received.”
The graduation ceremony was a fitting celebration of the hard work and achievements of all 139 trainees, whose success reflects the strength of the partnership between Bright Futures SCITT and its numerous training settings.
As they prepare to embark on their teaching careers, Bright Futures SCITT community wishes them every success in the years ahead and looks forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in classrooms and communities across the region.
