We are delighted to celebrate ten national award wins and commendations across Bright Futures Educational Trust in this year’s Pearson National Teaching Awards.

Alice Coyle, Principal at Marton Primary Academy and Nursery, and Matthew Carroll, Principal at Rushbrook Primary Academy, have both been awarded Bronze in the ‘Headteacher of the Year – Primary School’ category, recognising their exceptional leadership.
Rushbrook Primary Academy also received Bronze in the ‘Teaching Assistant of the Year’ category for Gaynor Elliot, celebrating the impact and dedication of support staff within the school community.
Further success has been achieved through a number of Certificates of Achievement. Melland High School was recognised in the ‘SEND and Inclusive Practice’ category, alongside Rushbrook Primary Academy in the same category, highlighting the Trust’s continued commitment to inclusive education.
Cedar Mount Academy was also recognised with a Certificate of Achievement in the ‘Unsung Hero’ category for Bogdan Negru and another in the ‘Outstanding New Teacher’ category for Tammin Yorke-Davenport, celebrating both emerging talent and outstanding contribution across the school.
Further recognition for Rushbrook Primary Academy came in the form of Certificates of Achievement in the ‘Early Years Team of the Year’ and ‘Making a Difference – Primary School of the Year’ categories, highlighting the school’s continued commitment to strong outcomes and enriching experiences for pupils.
