Cedar Mount Academy selected for national Enrichment Expansion Programme

Bright Futures is delighted to announce that Cedar Mount Academy has secured a place on the Department for Education’s Enrichment Expansion Programme (EEP), a national initiative designed to enhance access to high-quality enrichment opportunities for children and young people.

The programme aims to support schools in widening participation in activities beyond the classroom, helping students develop confidence, resilience, character, wellbeing and essential life skills that complement their academic learning and strengthen their sense of belonging within their school community.

As part of the programme, Cedar Mount Academy will benefit from dedicated support, grant funding and access to specialist Enrichment Coordinators, alongside guidance from the Youth Sport Trust, the programme’s delivery partner. This support will help the academy further develop the breadth and quality of enrichment opportunities available to students across areas including sport and physical activity, arts and culture, nature and outdoor learning, civic engagement, and wider life and future skills.

At Bright Futures, we believe that education extends beyond academic achievement. High-quality enrichment experiences play an important role in supporting wellbeing, raising aspirations, nurturing talents and helping young people discover new interests and opportunities.

Participation in the Enrichment Expansion Programme will support Cedar Mount Academy’s ongoing commitment to providing students with a wide range of opportunities that help them develop new skills, pursue their interests and thrive.

A key focus of the programme will be ensuring that young people have a voice in shaping the enrichment opportunities available to them. By working alongside students to understand their interests, aspirations and experiences, Cedar Mount Academy will continue to develop an enrichment offer that reflects the needs and priorities of its school community.
