Five-star success for Bright Futures in the Pearson National Teaching Awards 2025

Matthew Carroll, Principal at Rushbrook Primary Academy, has been awarded ‘Bronze’ in the ‘Headteacher of the Year – For a Primary School’ category.

Lisa Fathers, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, said: “This is hugely well deserved and reflects not only Matt’s passion and expertise but also the journey of wonderful improvement that Rushbrook has been on.”

Rushbrook Primary Academy were also commended in the ‘Making A Difference – Primary School of the Year’ category.

Bright Futures celebrated more success with Jackie Crouch from Barton Clough receiving the Bronze Award in ‘The Unsing Hero’ category, as announced in April. While Victoria Wright, also from Barton Clough, received a ‘Commendation’ in the same category.

Congratulations to all our winners and on ‘Thank A Teacher Day’ we say thank you to our dedicated teachers and colleagues who inspire and nurture our children and young people every day.
